The Creator of Git Probably Doesn't Know How to Install and Deploy Git
Nobody disputes this: Mr. Torvalds created Git. Because he did.
But how long was he involved in it?
Well, when asked about it Torvalds is being frank; he started it, spent some months on it, then it was sort of passed on to other people.
Judging by the fact that he's outsourcing his own personal projects to proprietary prisons, he probably forgot or never knew how to do (or too seldom practised) Git installations. It's good practice to make one's own, so why didn't Torvalds? Lack of money isn't a problem, is it?
Self-hosting is a very important theme we've been covering for many years (since around 2019). Seeing that Torvalds - like the Linux Foundation - fails at it and gets an "F" (like his repository of choice), and moreover seeing what GAFAM has become, we ought to write about self-hosting a lot more often. █
