Why RMS is Scary to GAFAM 'Engineers' and the GAFAM Apologists (or Addicts)
RMS (Richard Stallman) is a short man, probably too harmless to hurt anybody. Yet he seems to be scaring many people, especially because of his ideas and his way of life.
- RMS, unlike these people, does not pay a mortgage
- RMS, unlike these people, need not worry about kids
- RMS, unlike these people, isn't judged or prodded by a class-conscious (social anxiety) spouse
- RMS, unlike these people, isn't forced by some employer/boss to self-censor or "look professional"
- RMS, unlike these people, can speak fluently in several languages and articulate deep philosophical/technical ideas about them
- RMS, unlike these people, does any project he fancies, he's not "assigned" a daily chore/routine
- RMS, unlike these people, needn't waste any time on social control media and spyphones (or "snoophones" as he sometimes calls them)
- RMS, unlike these people, has friends and allies, not phony 'friends' in social control media or people who pretend to be his friend for commercial/financial reasons
- RMS, unlike these people, does not need to pretend that he likes what he does (doing something for financial gain alone isn't joy, it's sometimes a well-compensated burden rather than a hobby)
- RMS, unlike these people, actually accomplished a lot and doesn't need to wear a suit to "prove" it
Some people only attack RMS because they wish they were RMS. █
