XBox Consoles Nearly Dead by Now, the 'XBox' (ex-Box) Brand Now Stands for Something Full of Slop, Spam, Filler, and Chaff
We're seeing the last days (maybe year) of "XBox"

"Xbox has fallen way behind other platforms in the console space," this new report points out. It moreover takes note of GNU/Linux rapidly rising among gamers and shows that when Microsoft says "XBox" it means Windows. The console is basically dying. Too much money lost, endless layoffs, no prospects of a turnaround.
There are also some new reports right now about the "second life" of the "XBox" brand not exactly being what it seems:
-
Xbox has a shovelware problem — 40% of 2025 releases were Gamerscore spam, according to a new report
New data from TrueAchievements shows spam easy Gamerscore games made up nearly 40% of Xbox releases in 2025, raising questions about store quality and achievement inflation.

This is how MSN Spaces died and was then offloaded (what's left of it) to Automattic. It reportedly became 99% SPAM (or somewhere well beyond 90%). It had helped Microsoft pretend that it had presence in the space of blogs and social control media (before buying LinkedIn). Even if it was just a huge pile of SPAM.
"XBox" will probably be gone altogether (even the brand) in a few years. █
