IBM Reports 'Results' Tomorrow, Expect More "RAs" (Mass Layoffs)

This time around, I wonder if they'll give 3month severance pay and 1 month notice as occurred in the November early December 2025 layoffs.

IBM's CEO mostly shuffles/carries two buzzwords around these days (now that "clown computing" and "blockchains" lack glitter). Those are "AI" (it's not AI) and "quantum" (which is more of an idea, not a working product that IBM can sell).

In the name of justifying mass layoffs and selling them as a desirable thing (or a sign of corporate health) they use words like "efficiency", "optimisation", "AI", "pivot", "modernisation" and so on.

The minutes (earnings call) will probably give clues or shed light on what comes next. █
