Still Hoping for "Slop Zero" in 2026
Today I saw no slop about "linux" (that I noticed or detected anyway) in Google News and the only example of slop I eventually found was this trash from Brittany Day:

LLM slop of no actual value.
I asked around and others too generally notice a declining trajectory/trend.
We've also noticed that linuxiac.com shows a glimmer of hope this week, as we see that at least some of the new pages are mostly composed by a human and less slop is being used. Is it too late though? Can we trust Linuxiac again? It turned to slop about a year ago, then stopped, now it's rocking back into slopfarm territories.
For now we're skipping (not linking) and observing that site. No slopfarm will ever survive once real audiences (not people who "click Google") realise what's going on; at that point even Google stops sending people to the slopfarm.
We'll all be very happy when slop companies cease operations and sites that depend on those operations also cease operation/s (slopping). █
