Better Outcomes When Facing the Discomfort of Conflict
Had we removed pages or settled (there were many attempts to settle with us), we would lack:
- Confirmation from a court that we were, indeed, abused online
- Confirmation that SRA was, indeed, failing to fulfil its duties [1, 2]
- Confirmation that we were far from the only site that MJG targeted with censorship demands (via Webhosts, even via ISPs!)
- Confirmation that MJG was talking to other people who were abusing us online, attempting to censor us etc.
- Confirmation that lawyering up against us is extremely expensive and simply does not scale
- Confirmation that we always fight to protect victims and whistleblowers, no matter the cost
- Confirmation that lies were repeatedly told to the court, signed with a statement of truth, both for MJG and for the Serial Strangler from Microsoft
Don't take the easy way out when the "hard way" is the right way and it can result in positive revelations. █
