past present future
When I don't look into the future, the past comes back.
My mind slips to the easiest point in time, the now being the hardest place to be. There is a discomfort yet a familiarity with the past. There is a fear, yet an ease of creation with the future.
Why is it that staying in the moment is the hardest? There is so much to do in the now. So much to observe and sense. Well maybe not now. It's dark outside, and there are no sound except the dripping of the water filter in the background. I stare at a screen, and I can feel the heat radiating from the base board under the table.

gentle tears
As I am not desiring a new partner, I feel liberated. It release me from this continuous seeking and wandering. It also brings more attention to my last relationship, more tenderness towards it.
It's easy to fill my mind with everything that was wrong with my last relation. But this morning as I was leading a meditation online, some of the words brought tears to my eyes. The memory of me holding her, breathing her, guiding her into relaxation. Our breath connected many times, at night, or during moments of intensity, too high or too freaked out. These connections, so tender now, are still filled with loved and compassion.

NixOS Books
I wanted a more comprehensive understanding of NixOS and for some reason I thought this could come from a book. I couldnāt find anything with any reviews. I made a purchase based on the description of the book as provided by the author. I gambled on a book with no reviews, no recommendations, and I think Iāve learned a valuable lesson: Almost the entire line of thinking was flawed and there are no good in-print Nix or NixOS books.

A Treatise On Monochrome Emojis
Here and elsewhere I've read monochrome emojis are the absolute bees knees and the only way to view Gemini pages while maintaining one's smol integrity.
I've seen this enough that I'd like to put out a public service reminder that Alhena supports not only four different color emoji sets but also monochrome emojis via the Noto Emoji font. On MacOS, you can even choose between Noto and the system's color font for a total of six emoji options.
