The Right Wing in the United States Does Not Support Free Speech, It Supports Its Own Speech
The above "tweet" is great as it helps demonstrate the demonstrably brain-damaged attitude of not only Microsoft Lunduke but many people like him, who not only insist on state-imposed porn filters but also muzzle (sometimes kill) people they don't agree with.
Both the "left" and the "right" in the United States advocate censorship, but in slightly different ways or with somewhat different wording/reasoning/rationale. I cannot generalise this to the "left" and the "right" in other countries because the political divide varies and in some countries the left is openly and wholly socialist or communist. In recent years in the US the marginal (or fringe) far-right became just... "the right". Now we have national leaders (White House) comparing African Americans to monkeys.
People who are really proponents of free speech ("I am a big supporter of Free Speech," says Microsoft Lunduke) don't try to get people fired for things they say or laugh about murders. The hypocrisy is endless and we've covered many examples in recent years.
This past October in court I compelled Garrett to admit he had been trying to censor many sites (not just ours) by contacting Webhosts (even ISPs in our case!) instead of following the law. At one point he slipped up and admitted he was trying to get around the law. The Judge caught that too.
Free speech is often opposed by those who also oppose Free software. █
