The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) is Not a Regulator, It's Part of the Litigation "Industry" in the UK (They Overlap Each Other)

"Failure to do so can erode public trust and confidence, undermining the rule of law and the administration of justice" - SRA on SLAPPs and more
"Revolving door" (in politics) is defined by Wikipedia as a term which "denotes a situation wherein personnel move between roles as legislators or regulators in the public sector, and as employees or lobbyists of industries (affected by state legislation and regulations) in the private sector. It is analogous to the movement of people in a physical revolving door, hence its name. Critics assert that such a relationship between the government and private sector can lead to conflict of interest and regulatory capture, based on the granting of reciprocated privileges between them."
This, in a nutshell, is what the SRA became. It "talks tough" about "hired guns", but it has done nothing towards tackling them, punishing them, striking them off (like disbarring in the US; here in the UK the term refers to barristers). So they keep on going, dismantling freedom of speech in the UK on behalf of war criminals in Russia and American men who attack American women. The SRA is basically wasting not only money but also the time of people with grievances [1, 2, 3].
Today, at last, we formally start escalating the matter to politicians. We promised we'd do this since 2024 and also spoke about it last year [1, 2, 3]. This is not "Activism", it is pursuing the Rule of Law. This will go on for years. █
