Another IBM Company (Spawned by IBM) is Hiding the Scale of Layoffs, Just Like Red Hat and Kyndryl
19 hours ago the Lexington Herald Leader's Beth Musgrave published this article about layoffs at Lexmark. It bemoans secrecy around the scale of these layoffs and reminds readers:
Lexmark was spun out of IBM in the 1990s to house that company’s printers division, which was already operating and manufacturing products in Lexington under IBM.
Why is the scale of the layoffs there shrouded in secrecy?
And "will Kyndryl go bankrupt in the next two years"?
The latest discussions about it are brutal as the company has almost twice as much in debt than it is "worth".

There are also layoffs as we showed in recent months; they seem to be "forever layoffs" or "silent layoffs" (that won't show up as WARN notices).
As an aside, IBM is now sending bills - yes, bills! - to people it laid off! (We have mentioned this discussion before)

It seems so petty! Why would IBM even bother with such sums?
Adding insult to injury.
How much again does IBM pay its CEO in bonuses each year? █
