Photographic Survey of the Smithsonian (1890-1913)

After nearly 20 years our community has amassed many images in the Web site (the Gemini capsule does not have images). There are going to be over 100,000 JPEG, PNG, and GIF files by the time we turn 20:

png: 44978
jpg: 49082
jpeg: 373
gif: 3607

The lion's share of storage taken, however, is videos, not images. We plan to do more videos in the future, but the current priority is text. Videos are more expensive to store and transmit.
