IBM Behaves Like a Company Looking for Loose Change Between Sofa Cushions
Chasing laid-off workers for dollars and even pennies, making excuses and devising loopholes (such as PIPs) to flout severance obligations
IBM wishes to be seen as incredibly valued and valuable, but internally it does not act that way.
See, inside IBM people can tell that the culture is rotten. The hours-old comments speak of the culture:

There's more in the thread.
Someone in another thread has just said: "Does the "I" in "AI" stand for "India"?? It is funny how when big tech lays people off for "AI" they always seem to either apply for a similar number of H1B Visas so foreign workers can take those jobs, or they just build an offshore facility and hire workers over there. Tech workers are facing a nightmare. I feel worse for the young people with shiny degrees and big loan bills who cannot get a job at all because of this. And sadly this Administration seems fine with this. I am not at IBM, but in the same cr-p boat. There is a bunch of us on X who track and report on American replacement in tech if you want to join us."
IBM is trying to avoid paying taxes, avoid paying separation fees, avoid paying a living salary and so on. That's IBM. That's the Big Blue of the buzzwords treadmill era. █

"Need to boost that stock price, and fund those bonuses somehow. If you collect a couple hundred dollars from each RAed employee, (about ~ 10000 people last year ). That’s a couple more million for executives bonuses. This goes to show how desperate they are to save money. Pathetic." -One hour ago
