Last night we mentioned the many Microsoft layoffs in Spain, including as recently as weeks ago. Microsoft is moving east (not "Go West") and it is considered or blindly trivialised as "racist" to point this out. Well, I'm not a racist and my wife can attest to it; I'm just pointing out what happens, based on simple observations. I also heard from whistleblowers that many Microsoft staff is nowadays expected if not implicitly (subtly) required to work for long, long hours... hoping to be spared in the next wave of layoffs.
Microsoft's debt continues to soar; this is not "investment in AI", it's a business in decline. The official excuse is "AI" something and has been for years.
Microsoft is priming (it's tempting to say "grooming") people for this false notion that mass layoffs are inevitable, a sign of advancement (words like "efficiency" get thrown around), and that Microsoft is at the "bleeding edge".
Well, Microsoft sure is bleeding. █
