Championing a Cause
Championed by the founder, RMS, Free software has come a long way. Based on his own government, his own country now has about 10 million GNU/Linux users on laptops/desktops. Worldwide? Probably over 100 million GNU/Linux users on laptops/desktops. That's not counting servers, where GNU/Linux is the standard.
RMS with his consistent message and insistence on the original goal showed that major change is achievable. A month ago he was back to speaking in American colleges, attracting vast audiences offline and online (thousands of people). The "evil maids" tried - and failed - to 'cancel' him. █
