Nothing Over the Horizon for XBox

XBox is mentioned - and has repeatedly been mentioned - quite a lot here lately. Because we have plenty to debunk. The console is being eclipsed by noise and vapourware, as Microsoft does not wish to openly admit defeat. So it is coercing "the media" to tell us all lies. They feed us with disinformation. They know this. It's deliberate.

In recent days and even recent hours we saw many headlines that illuminate a growing consensus: XBox "fans" really, really dislike and distrust the new "CEO", and that's putting it politely. Yesterday we released not one but two short articles about the co-founder or co-creator of XBox (the actual console, not a mere brand) saying the same. He reckons XBox is pretty much dead. The goal is to kill it silently and then gaslight the mourners.

And yet, there will be many layoffs as there's no other way, irrespective of what Microsoft was "training" some submissive media to say (parrot). Quoting the sole remark on this from thelayoff.com: "Xbox has new leaders today, now that Phil Spencer and Sarah Bond are out — and you’d be forgiven for assuming that means yet another round of layoffs and shuttered studios, especially one day after Sony jettisoned a beloved developer."

XBox is not even being sold in many places anymore; its availability is increasingly limited and despite some reports we are seeing a trend that further dooms Microsoft's plans: "Video Games are Losing the "Attention War" to Gambling, Porn, and Crypto" (direct link)
