Reporting to Our Politicians/MPs the Failure of the SRA to Stop Hired Guns Who Help Americans (Men Who Attack Women and Nowadays Also Attack British Reporters)

3 years ago I reported my employer to Action Fraud (UK) because it had engaged in pension fraud against my colleagues and I. Action Fraud did not reply, so I escalated to local and national politicians. They too contacted Action Fraud, but Action Fraud never responded to any of us. Action Fraud is a sham. Upon further research it was widely known already that Action Fraud is irresponsive, unhelpful, and unable to deal with fraud. We thought it would be useful to get rid of this timewasting agency, which is also wasting money and doesn't know what it's doing. It's the same with the SRA, which is incompetent (it fails at the very basics like sending files, it should not take 3 months!).
About a month ago my wife wrote to politicians:
Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and SLAPPs Against Mancunians
In 2024 an American filed a lawsuit against me (in the UK) after I had suffered abuse online and wrote about it. Months ago the Judge (head of media in the High Court) acknowledged that I had been abused, did nothing to invite it, and did nothing to deserve it.
However, the American spent almost half a million pounds on lawyers, whereas I ran out of money for lawyers and barristers. I was therefore not permitted to submit testimonies and present evidence.
The matter (and firm) was reported to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), but it did nothing concrete to investigate this matter. It even repeated some lies, later disputed in the courtroom itself. Worse yet, it didn't even reply to my message, only my husband's. I'm at a loss for words.
My husband and I, as Litigants in Person, aren't alone in such a scenario. The system helps people from other continents bend the law to bankrupt people who suffered abuse. See for example:
https://antislapp.uk/2025/01/28/sra-closure-higgins-slapp-complaint/
The UK Anti-SLAPP Coalition spoke to us about it, but was not able to compete with half a million pounds in litigation "firepower".
They then added another lawsuit (to attack our finances even more) and that latter case froze. Its sole purpose was to game the system
There is something clearly wrong here and it's very clear from the judge's decision that the core issue was the lack of money, so clearly the SRA should have intervened, seeing how a second case got filed to attack our legal budget and prevent justice. Both cases were filed from the US via London.
My husband and I voted for you and need you to raise this matter urgently (SLAPPs and the SRA being so toothless).
Regards,
Rianne
As it said above, we've both voted for them. One of them knows us in person, sort of. This is still an ongoing process. █
