Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Failed to Detect Fraud in Law Firms... Until It Was Too Late
How many victims could and would be spared/avoided the pain if the SRA did its job properly?

2 hours ago Law360 (paywalled) published this article, raising the same questions we raised last month and will raise later this month in Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Inaction and Incompetence - Part II (see Part I).
The article uses the word "watchdog", but in our experience it's more of a lapdog and a mere illusion of oversight (almost everyone with direct experience would agree with what we said). Earlier today we contacted some more politicians about this and received mail from them as well. We also got pure spam (or scam) from a local law firm, pretending we may be entitled to compensation (over a car accident; we don't even drive!).
The British "legal" industry is a mess. It breaches rules that it knows about and even systematically lies to courts and to judges.
We've all along (for years already) said our intention is to pursue much-needed reform. See for example: Techrights Will Spend the Next Few Years Writing a Lot About Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (SLAPPs)
We have already defeated two SLAPPs. Then... we get to tell the story. And some reckless people would do anything to prevent this. █
