"Silent Layoffs" or "Forever Layoffs" at IBM and Red Hat (After Bluewashing)
The concept of "Forever Layoffs" is not outlandish. Nor is it unique to IBM. If you have many sites in many states/countries you can do "trickle-like" layoffs every month in every site (like 'gerrymandering' one's income/debt/losses). This way the layoffs are harder to detect and you can dodge obligations to report them (transparency as a matter of law, e.g. WARN Act in the US).
Last month, based on IBM's union: IBM's Collapse Continues, Half of EU Countries to Have Mass Layoffs, "IBM Clearly Disinvests From Europe" Says IBM European Works Council
And based on IBM itself (it's harder and riskier to lie to the SEC): IBM Has Already Admitted 2026 Mass Layoffs (in 4Q Earnings Call)
Like every day (all day long) we can see people who leave IBM and say something that's seemingly based on a 'script' or a 'recipe' from the book-cooking kitchen. This was hours ago:

The "gratitude" part might be tied to NDA and severance. You don't want to lawyer up against IBM, do you? As someone put it yesterday: "I reached out to some law firms who previously had won lawsuits against IBM during my 30 day notice period but when none of them seemed interested in taking a case on a contingency basis I decided it was best to just go ahead and sign."

Just an hour after the above we caught this about IBM Red Hat:

He basically left Red Hat:

Remember they don't want people to use the "L" word; they use PIPs and NDAs instead. They push people out. Here's a new thread about layoffs (RAs) and PIPs:
