Richard Stallman in the United States - Part IV - Back to Switzerland
It is noteworthy that GNU's 40th birthday was celebrated in Switzerland a week after mobbing against our webhost and ISPs (by Garrett et al) resulted in temporary deplatforming.

Today in the afternoon/evening Richard Stallman (RMS) starts a round of talks across Switzerland (last talk in Bern) and the FSF is fully behind him, promoting him while calling him "doctor" and distributing press releases.
Our series about his return to the US campuses (Part I, Part II, Part III) isn't exactly over, it'll just be split apart to cover efforts to "cancel" him and how those efforts recently fell through.
The "cancel mob" tried to "finish off" RMS 5 years ago. I, in response, wrote hundreds (yes, hundreds) of articles in his support that year alone and by November of the same year I was already receiving SLAPP letters from the people who had attempted to cancel RMS and kept inciting/spearheading the mob against him by defaming not only him but also me (the same smears recycled and repeated ad infinitum). I wrote about it in January and in hindsight this has aged well because this mob is alive and active. Now I receive threatening anonymous letters - a form or blackmail - and this week alone I received about 5,000 legal pages/papers threatening to put my family in prison (in addition to doxing family members who have nothing to do with this!). Surreal, right? Is this site that scary?
People with "radical" ideas like Software Freedom (that basically means users should be able to control their devices that they bought and own) will be under attack as long as GAFAM people get paid to antagonise them. And we know there are third-party sponsors. They admit this. █
