We Don't Depend on Google and Don't Care for Google
We have our own site search and we don't depend on Google to bring visits/visitors to us

Having or making a site dependent on GAFAM is risky, right? At any moment Google can make changes to things (deranking or worse, e.g. slop "summaries" replacing links). Hosting likewise.
When we launched Techrights Article Search exactly a week after the trial we could easily search any past article of ours, even articles no longer indexed by Google. It lessened Google's ability to censor us. Owing to RSS feeds and other factors, we still attract many visitors each day (mostly repeat visitors) and need not waste even a minute in social control media, "Email marketing", and other nonsense.
Europe and the UK in particular still has a "hard-on" for Google; we can only hope that slop will change this sentiment. Many publishers nowadays feel "betrayed" by Google. █

Hey, Google... no, thanks
