春分 - Spring equinox + sekki
It's the start of spring in the northern hemisphere.
Some time ago I came across a fun site built by Ross Zurowski detailing the 24 sekki, or small seasons. It's under an MIT license and now available here.

Re: The Lurking LLM on Usenet (digression into finger)
With someone's name or email address, you might well be able to find out if they were currently logged in, or even initiate a character based chat with them (via something called talk/ytalk). Finger was the linchpin of the pre-MySpace social network of the Internet.

Updating my blogroll
It's 9pm on a Friday night. Perfect time for shuffling files around and set things up neatly in cyberspace. As you saw on my previous post, I set up a CAPCOM instance on this capsule.
So far I've been writing and making changes on my desktop and deploying them via rsync to tilde.team. But I have seen a better way by installing Jetforce and running a local server. I can see my changes live before deploying!
This means I'll be moving some directories around and letting CAPCOM breathe within the capsule itself, rather than writing hacky scripts on my tilde.team home directory so I can output the generated feed.

Announcing Pig! (yet another dice game)
I've implemented the die game Pig, but this time entirely in Racket [1], a Lisp-language relative (read: functional programming). This is BETA and open for TESTING.
The game uses SCGI instead of CGI in order to elminate repeated calls to load and unload a CGI program: Pig is loaded into memory and waits for connections. The SCGI portion was created from scratch as well.
