Today the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) faces another blunder (we'll come back to it at a later stage as politicians are now involved). Yesterday's part has clearly struck a nerve despite being perfectly OK. It seems like somebody conflates "hurt feelings" with "illegality"; that somebody has no comprehension of English then. Nor an understanding of freedom of the press.
For those who didn't follow this series closely, the gist of it all is, the High Court's judge did acknowledge that both my wife and I got abused by sockpuppet accounts that poured onto our IRC network and did illegal things. She added that we neither invited nor deserved this. The judge did not, however, accept that Garrett was responsible for those sockpuppet accounts. She told me, upfront, that we would not be able to present evidence and accepted that on financial grounds we were not able to afford witness statements (because Garrett collaborated with a Serial Strangler from Microsoft to drain our legal budget just shortly after we had sued him [1, 2].
Facts hurt. But facts must be known. █
