"Linux" Slop Going Away, Microsoft et al Pay 'Linux' Foundation to Promote Slop

Explanation of the Decapitation Trick

Killing Free software with slop, becoming rich by taking Microsoft bribes

Recently, the Linux Foundation accepted some more Microsoft bribe money (Microsoft and two proxies of Microsoft), this time to promote slop (as before) and make excuses for the worst offenders/culprits when it comes to drowning Free software projects with slop (both plagiarism and obnoxious spam).

Before the weekend, SJVN, a paid operative of the Linux Foundation, quoted Linux Foundation staff (Greg) to promote slop inside Linux, the kernel. SJVN did so in a Microsoft publisher, The Register MS. Hours ago we saw another site citing the "report", in effect selling slop as desirable to Linux.

It's a timely reminder that the Linux Foundation exists to promote whoever pays the Linux Foundation, even pedophiles and companies that attack the GPL. It's really that bad at the Linux Foundation these days. Some former insiders called it "poo".

Meanwhile, scanning the Web for slop about "Linux", we find not much anymore, except perhaps ubuntupit.com with "Ubuntu 26.04 LTS Beta Gives a First Look at What’s Coming" and "LibreOffice 26.2.2 Improves Stability With Dozens of Bug Fixes". Slop as usual.

LibreOffice 26.2.2 is now rolling out, and this update is clearly focused on making the suite feel more stable and predictable. Instead of introducing new features, the developers are tightening things up where it actually matters.

There's one other new example we've found:

Slop or fake: What Is a Checksum? Meaning, Examples and Why You Should Use Them

Almost everybody wants this slop nuisance to go away, but Jim Zemlin et al bag a bunch of bribes not only to tolerate it but to actively promote it.

We need a safe space and a CoC; That's why we partner with Bill Gates -Jim Zemlin
