Today, Europe's Second-Largest Institution (EPO) Goes on Strike That Can Last Until 2027. Nobody in the Media Covers This!
"We stand with the protesters"

Nobody in the media covers the historic strike. Similarly, not even a single publisher wrote about the EPO's media chief getting arrested for cocaine use.
Hours ago:
On Friday, I published a long post about the global assault on the news and the oligarchic capture of news organisations.
Trying to Hide One's Abuses by Imposing Silence on Critics ("My Profile Was Private")
"Media blackout" was mentioned here a month ago in relation to the EPO. "Media blackout" was also mentioned a week ago in relation to IBM and earlier this month in relation to Microsoft.
If the new "public enemy" (of oligarchs) is a functional and independent media apparatus, then it's a good thing our politicians now handle our case. They can recognise it is becoming a matter of national security and as threat to our democracies. It is moreover innately asymmetric and imperialistic in nature.
Each time a major European publisher picked some "lead" on EPO scandals we soon got silence (cold feet). They knew the information was correct (no point denying it); so did they get SLAPPed? Gagged/spiked by management? If "the system" gets in the way of journalism, then whose system is it?
Recently, one of Britain's largest papers got taken over by German oligarchy (after turning down 'loose change' or 'slush fund' bids from Oil-igarchs). At least we know and can see who controls our press. Some of the media gets scooped up only to be scuttled (e.g. Observer, Washington Post) and what's left of tech media - like the publisher that used to cover EPO scandals - is broke and selling out - an act that some people have dubbed "press-titution". █
