Oracle Lays Off Because of Debt and Commercial Issues, Not Slop
Last night: In Time for April Fools (and Easter), 30,000 Oracle 'Pink Slips' While People Are Asleep

In recent hours I saw many articles about Oracle layoffs (e.g. [1-3]), but at least 10 that I saw mentioned "AI", sometimes in the headline. There are two variants to it, as it's generally the same as the GAFAM narrative for cuts and mass layoffs:
- We lay off to set aside money to "invest in AI"
- We invested a lot in "AI efficiency", hence we lay off (or we spent too much money on "AI", hence we cannot pay salaries)
Both of these are bogus. Some media has begun saying to out loud. It'll be good when slopfarms and submissive media altogether stop parroting those "AI" narratives.
Yesterday we cited March's: The Corporate Media Repeated the Lies Told by Jack Dorsey ("AI" Hype), Now It Does the Same for Larry Ellison
February's: Oracle's Debt Rose Over 20 Billion Dollars in Just 3 Months
Like Scam Altman, Larry Ellison hangs around Cheeto King because he could use some bailouts in the form of government contracts or phony money with an incredible name like "Stargate". █

Partners: Oracle Layoffs Are ‘Huge’ Channel Opportunity
Oracle partners said they see the enterprise cloud software powerhouse becoming more reliant on the channel in the wake of layoffs Tuesday that reports say impact thousands of employees.
“This is 1,000 percent good for the channel,” said Rhos Dyke, founder and Oracle alliance practice lead for Acropolis Advisors, a Manhattan Beach, Calif.-based Oracle solution provider. “Oracle direct sellers are going to be increasingly reliant on credible and capable partners that can deliver on the Oracle promise. I have been selling Oracle solutions for three decades, and the opportunity has never been bigger or better. I’m never retiring. This layoff is only going to mean more opportunity for the channel. This makes Oracle leaner and meaner in a positive way. Those partners that abandoned Oracle 10 years ago should take another look. If they don’t, they are missing a huge opportunity.”

Oracle laid off thousands of employees on Tuesday as it ramps spending on AI infrastructure projects internally and with major technology partners.
The layoffs were carried out via email, according to copies of the message viewed by Business Insider. The email told affected workers they would be terminated immediately and to provide a personal email for follow-up.
Oracle declined to comment to The Register.
