What Happens When Some Large News Sites Turn to Slop and Spew Out Nonsense

Imagine you open some large newspaper with high circulation and see this headline:

Oracle layoffs impact over 2,500 in India; 30,000 get pink slips globally

Only hours apart, same publisher:

Oracle lays off 12,000 employees in India; another round likely in a month

And both remain online, unedited, at the same time.

So which is it, 2.5k or 12k? Very different figures.

This is a testament to the state of today's news industry [sic], which rushes to parrot things without checking or verifying things like headlines (not nitty-gritty finer details). LLM slop makes such grotesque mistakes abundant and blindly accepted by users/addicts of LLMs. █
