Almost 12 Years of Exposing Corruption in Europe's Second-Largest Institution
Corruption and censorship (including bullying of judges who protest corruption inside the Office) became 'the norm' by 2014.
Kieren McCarthy, who has since then left the publisher and this occupation, was probably first to report how the EPO was bullying yours truly using several aggressive law firms in London (working for corrupt officials/clients in Germany to silence the journalist in the UK)
We are almost exclusively reporting on corruption at the EPO. For instance, nobody else reported on the major and prolonged strikes there and we're definitely the only site covering the "Cocainegate" ("Cocaine Communication Manager" Part XI will come out later this month; stay tuned).
The "unready" President is now an abandoned President, as the Office seems grossly understaffed and way behind unrealistic (or illegal) targets. Stakeholders will notice. Delegates who come from national patent offices (NPOs) will notice the drop in income. Their political masters (supervisors/appointers) will ask questions and demand answers about the EPO.
We're proud to have covered EPO scandals for so long. We're also thankful to the whistleblowers. We'll carry on shedding light on what happens at the EPO, no matter how many SLAPPs are thrown our way (those are usually indicative of the simple reality that they cannot confront what we publish by any means other than ludicrous threats and censorship).
Thankfully, owing to experience, we became quite good at dealing with SLAPPs. █
