IBM's Fedora Project Sees Sharp Increase (Over 25%) in Code of Conduct Complaints, i.e. Censorship Demands
Yesterday this report about Fedora's CoC was published, stating "14 reports were opened in 2025, compared to 11 reports in 2024".
It's noteworthy that each year Fedora gets smaller and smaller because IBM "reassigns" the folks who build Fedora and many community members (volunteers) walk away. So why the increase in reports?
Chris Idoko says: "looking back at our journey from the modernization of the Code of Conduct to where we stand today, it is encouraging to see how much we have grown together."
No, it has gotten smaller, a lot smaller, since the tracking began. Moreover, a lot of Fedora is being handed over to slop (project understaffed) and slop won't open a CoC report (yet).
They have this thing called a Fedora Code of Conduct Committee (CoCC). Remember that IBM lawyered up against its own community in an effort to shut down a site critical of it. IBM lost. █
