EPO on Strike This Past Friday (All Major Sites), Massive Strike Continues Tomorrow
Last month: Today, Europe's Second-Largest Institution (EPO) Goes on Strike That Can Last Until 2027. Nobody in the Media Covers This! | February: Combatting Censorship in the "Civilised World": The Media Blackout Surrounding EPO Strikes and Other Large-Scale Actions

"The media received very little information about what was happening inside"

Recently, as in at the end of March, SUEPO in Dutch territories decided (as per a vote) that any day of the week will be used for strikes... for the foreseeable future. In Munich (Germany) it is Mondays and Fridays - a binary 'feature' for 4-day weekends.
4 days ago SUEPO Munich wrote to members and other staff:
Action Plan 2026 continues to stop the salary erosion of EPO staff
Weeks of 6 April to 17 April: Work-To-Rule continues, and Strike on Friday 10 April, Monday 13 April and Friday 17 April
Dear SUEPO members,
Dear Colleagues,The President still plans a further erosion of EPO salaries, pensions and other benefits estimated at –1% per year below the evolution of costs of living without any financial justification. The fifth technical meeting on the topic even showed regression rather than progress.
Lately, the President surrendered yet again to the delegates’ demands by introducing an entirely new anti-staff clause: the “high inflation clause” capping salary adjustments if Eurozone inflation is above 6%.
Therefore, the SUEPO Munich Action Plan 2026 adopted on 19 January continues with
- Work-To-Rule actions
- Days of strike on Friday 10 April, Monday 13 April and Friday 17 April
- Two days of strike per week (Mondays and Fridays) in April, May and June
We remind of this Guide to Production Pressure during industrial actions.
So strikes have trebled, not trembled, compared to last month (in Munich):

And next month 7 days of strikes are planned. In June it's 9 strikes and one very large demonstration.
It's an everyday thing in The Hague. And it keeps escalating each month. We'll say more about it tomorrow. █
