EPO President to Meet the Union, But He Needs to Resign
Colleagues or workers of the European Patent Office (EPO) have only just been told that the boyfriend of the sister of "Cocaine Communication Manager" will be talking to the union (SUEPO) tomorrow morning. Quoting their letter:

In reply to the SUEPO request for a negotiation meeting1, the President has invited SUEPO to a meeting on Thursday 23 April 2026 at 11.00 hrs. We thank staff for their strong support in the industrial action.
A president that respects his staff would come to such a meeting with a proposal that would address the staff concerns on loss of purchasing power.
If the President comes empty handed, it is obvious that this will lead to a continuation and intensification of industrial action, even after the Council decision planned on 30 June 2026.
