The media did not reveal any useful information, it relayed Microsoft's face-saving PR. Going by official statements, Microsoft aims to remove close to 10,000 American and senior (read: well paid) workers with 'voluntary layoffs' and not even offer much more than severance for it.
Time will tell, but investigative journalism hardly exists anymore, so we won't hold our breath. █
