How lawyers have twisted the reporting as the
real problem:
The "quality" of cases
undertaken by
Brett Wilson LLP got
so bad that they took clients
charged with crimes, then attacked
the media that reported on it. It's not limited to
Microsoft's Graveley and Garrett; last year Brett Wilson LLP
did the same for a British client, who soon afterwards dumped Brett
Wilson LLP (based on public records).
These people see nothing but money in lawsuits (or
PR in lawsuit clothing), it is not about
justice or truth to these people.
At the moment Brett Wilson LLP has no new clients, staff is
leaving in droves,
office furniture gets offloaded, and roles are advertised for
remote work (cost-cutting). It looks like they stand on their last
foot this year and they viciously
attack my wife and I for talking about it.
As for 5RB, they participated and thus
associated with the above cases of Brett Wilson LLP. Maybe
the
management there isn't fully aware of what's going on; 5RB
intentionally omitted the fact that we also paid them, a lot of
money in fact, for a case they lost (they don't boast about
losses).
In the case of Brett Wilson LLP, we have clear evidence that
they "mislead", "deceive" or "issue false statements" (more
professional euphemisms for "lie") to several High Court
judges. Last year they lied to me about
what happened in Texas (still relevant, see
full timeline) and this is how I responded:
15. Save the claim that the American lawyer of Mr. Graveley sent
an E-mail (see Appendix II), it is denied that there was pre-action
correspondence. This is utterly false and misleading. It is further
denied – the paragraph in its entirely – that a “falsity of
allegations” was demonstrated. Rather, repeated begging served to
suggest an element of guilt and request for remorse or a quiet
retraction based on mercy.
15.1. This is denied. The lawyer merely expressed an opinion
about his client and did not bother with any specifics at all.
There was moreover no evidence that anything had been retracted.
This is an entirely false statement, save that the lawyer sent a
very short E-mail, which was later “debunked” in Techrights. See
Appendix II.
15.2. No evidence was provided of a retraction and thus this
claim is also denied. They merely believed a likely lie told to
them by their client, who has a history of lying to people and
later boasting to them they he lied to them. The Court did not
dismiss the case, the case was set aside after the arrest because
of various circumstances as explained in Techrights at the
time.
16. This is denied as well. The lawyers did not refute what was
published but merely disputed it based on an opinion told about
their client. All sentences and assertion in Paragraph 16, 16.1 and
16.2 are thus denied. They contain many lies. See more in Appendix
IX.
17. Paragraph 17 is denied. The appendixes prove the
falsehoods.
As noted
yesterday, they basically try to portray the media as
the problem, not the person the media reports on.
Had 5RB done better vetting, it would not get involved in such a
case and its reviews would not be so negative:
We plan to contact 5RB some time very soon to talk about it,
having touched base some days ago. We're assuming management wasn't
properly informed about what it was getting involved in. Or how
much of a threat this was to its reputation as a chamber of
barristers with numerous well-known King's
Counsels (KCs). █
