Belated Sovereignty: GNU/Linux in Iran Skyrockets to 6% Amid Armed Conflict
2 months ago: Was a Lot of "Windows" and "Unknown" in Iran Just GNU/Linux in Disguise?
statCounter seeing a clear picture now?

We are not a political site, we are fighting for Software Freedom (which some would deem a political goal), so seeing that GNU/Linux usage grows - no matter where - is worth noting.
At the moment any back door (in routers, servers, desktops, phones, cameras) will be leveraged in attacks on Iranian facilities/people. There were many press reports, substantiated by direct sources, that US tech (not limited GAFAM) has been targeted during the war to spy, vandalise, and so on. Countries must watch this carefully and consider the risks; unless they're truly in control of their networks, hardware and software, somebody else can control them. █
