Techrights at 19.5 (We Started in 2006, Days After the Microsoft/Novell Deal)
It all began with Novell (back then run by a former IBMer, who has since then sent me threats)
The age of Techrights is only days lower than the age corresponding to the date Novell signed the treasonous (to the community) patent deal with Microsoft - a deal that was partly promoted if not arranged by Miguel de Icaza, a friend of Garrett and Graveley. Miguel de Icaza's role in this was confirmed by several prominent people who worked at Novell; it's not a mere guess or theory but a well-documented and still-preserved fact. When Novell bought Ximian (run by the "best friend" of Graveley) it brought trouble to all of us, not just to Novell and - by extension - to SUSE.
Ximian was run by Microsofters (some with employment record at Microsoft).
Days ago this site turned 19.5. It was created (originally) as a response to what Novell had done with Microsoft. Novell (as a public company) ceased to exist just 4 years later, but we're still around. We also understand, based on Garrett himself, that his hired guns are paid by third parties and it is repeatedly arranged by him (Garrett). His lies about this are unsustainable and will, in due course, prove rather costly. Perjury and death threats (the cops deemed this "threat to kill") are funny to nobody. █
