SLAPP Censorship - Part 83 Out of 200: Religion is Still Alive, But for Many This Religion is Monetary (Greed, Monopolies, Corporate Power)
posted by Roy Schestowitz on May 20, 2026,

If all you keep boasting about is being able to afford a
hotel room and some domestic flight, then maybe you have no
real accomplishments and are more like a "Facebook
serf" with a credit card
The Bible Man and His
Fall Guy
There's some very obnoxious man who tried
to lie about what happened last year. He touched the Bible while
swearing. Everyone in the courtroom saw it. Sugarcoating it or
changing the subject (like whether he does or does not believe in
God) won't change the simple, observable, and easily-verifiable
fact; transcripts of the trial do not capture the same thing CCTV
footage can capture (such footage is strictly private though).
![[Greedy] I am smarter than you... Because I work for GAFAM](/i/2026/05/smart-person.png)
One of the points raised in the trial and also mentioned in
the
final judgement (albeit in more polite terms) is that the above
man was a money-chasing facetious person who moved to the US in
pursuit of money, unlike yours truly (who is following basic
principles, not money). He's not too bright, he just tries to
associate money with wisdom (or salary with value). Months ago he
proved his own stupidity. He has entered evidence that his own
spouse calls him a rapist into the British court system (an own
goal - everybody can agree on that). Why would any sane person do
this? Impulsive action without foresight or forward thinking? By
his own admission, it is extremely unlikely that he'll get
what he wants and
abusing processes for "revenge" seldom ends well.
Wealth is Not (Just) Money
For many people, the notion that the principal goal in life is
to increase one's salary and thereby improve one's
perceived social status is conflating some elusive notion
or substituting/swapping humanity with a false "score" (money is a
human-made construct and by today's standards a millionaire is poor
compared to many thousands of billionaires).
In reality, in the context of law, there is also a "curse of
money"; that is to say, "mo money mo problems" (as the
song title goes), partly due to liabilities. GAFAM faces hundreds
of active lawsuits all the time (sometimes hundreds each;
Amazon alone attracts that many lawsuits, not just
labour/clientele disputes, also patent trolls) and some will be
settled irrespective of the underlying merits simply because it's
cheaper that way.
Money does not make people richer, except in monetary terms.
There are many people who are rich in money (e.g. old Warren, who
drags along Bill
Epsteingate) but can barely do anything truly meaningful due to
their old age. Are they really rich? Will their money outlive them
or will they outlive their money? To them, it's just "some number/s
in the bank/s".
An associate has said this is "animism - the economy this,
the economy that, as if it is a living entity beyond the control of
the population".
How many people brown-nose this man (or his class), hoping that
swimming next to sharks will result in "common-wealth"?

Can this man ski?
So anyway, when the above-mentioned man - who isn't rich but
pretends to be rich (he
pretends to be many things he is not) - touched the Bible and
swore maybe he was not thinking of God but his commercial
gods/masters (GAFAM)
or maybe just money.
Money is a Lousy Religion
People have a way of discovering - some later in life than
others - that money doesn't buy everything. Nor will it stop
horrible things from happening. Sometimes people who do bad
things get what they deserve and worship of money is an
increasingly irrelevant side factor - one that languishes over time
because of reduced capacities.
At the end of the day, people must assess what good (or bad)
they did to society, if not to the planet (i.e. fauna and
flora). Civilisation very quickly forgets businessmen - or women -
whose sole accomplishment is hoarding of capital. Money, power and
respect are not strictly intertwined. Making more money does not
make one a better person, nor need it result in popularity or
respect (it often results in scorn, envy and so on).
It's Not a Popularity Contest
Losing one's dignity is easy, but people never lose it for doing
the right thing, as opposed to selling out or backstabbing
good people in an effort to "get ahead".
For the record, we're in good standing; we're law-abiding
citizens (always) who perform critical (essential) jobs
and who are on the good side of the system. The
police is on our side,
politicians are on our side,
Americans who strangle women are not on our side (not even our
side of the ocean),
and they're likely in contempt of court, not to mention
perjury. They quickly recognise, however begrudgingly, that
what they started in 2021 (timelines matter [1,
2]) was a colossal mistake. Their choice of macho (combative)
hired guns was a giant own goal because it
further stigmatised them. It is way too late for them to
correct this. Now they are in "damage control" mode, recognising
they can only ever lose more money and censoring us is infeasible
because we are well protected by the law. We are not Americans and
we did nothing immoral.
Cheap law firms are too focused on serving (feeding)
themselves, not their clients.
Never Bet Against Women
On top of all this, men who are notoriously bad (the clients and
all the bosses at the law firm) are picking a fight they cannot
win. Yesterday we called them "Americans who attack women" and one
reader called them "Americans who physically abuse women"; they are
confronting 8 women, even 10 if one counts chief judges (or 13 if
one counts Americans,
17 if one counts British Police), whether they're aware of it
or not, aside from the women they abused. Here in the UK, unlike
the US (where women cannot really become presidents), 100% of the
officials are female and they don't like what they read about the
law firm and their clients. At every turn the outcome is the same.
The culture here is different. It just is. All men came
from women, and women deserve respect. █
