Sites that relied on Google for 'traffic' or simply assumed that Google would always be search are suffering and belatedly moaning. Slop as plagiarism by Google et al is a clever ploy [1, 2], hardly unforeseen by those who paid close enough attention.
Many dedicated news sites are dying and/or getting sold (to become marketing sites or "content farms" due to growing debt). That's inapplicable to us; we have our own search and we never relied on third parties, not even social control networks.
To us, much of the traffic comes from RSS feeds, i.e. regular readers.
After a big weekend (for us and the locals who held a ceremony last night) and holiday/long weekend with very hot weather (still above 30 degrees here) we're back on the saddle with this EPO series that we can expect to last for many months to come. We want to examine matters of corruption and suppressed topics that the news sites barely cover but do not deny. A lot of that is true for IBM; the media is printing lies for IBM, sometimes because IBM pays them to do so. The same goes for Microsoft.
For instance, reading between the lines XBox as a console is dead and they will try to reuse the brand to refer to PCs, streaming etc. At the EPO, they portray people on strike as "happy", seeing what has just happened at Samsung.
Our aim is to relay information while bypassing gossip networks like social control media and slop in "search" clothing. There will always be people who are interested in actual information, not "junk food" words. █
