IBM's CEO and his "pump and dump scheme" ("Arvind's lies about quantum")

Last year: Next Year Will be the Year of Quantum, Just Like 2020, 2015, 2010, 2005 and So On

Last week: IBM: The B Turns From "Business" to "Bailouts" to "Buybacks" ("IBM is the Next Intel")

Going on even on Monday...

Today marks my last working day at IBM

It’s been a great run. Brilliant people, proper laughs, and more coffee than I’d like to admit. We survived every deadline, every system update, and every support request with a straight face (mostly).

Don't be misled by Wall Street. IBM's debt continues to spike, thousands of workers are being fired, and pundits like "Cramer" (and Internet trolls) speak highly of IBM based on no substance at all.

This is more like a casino than a real investment in a real company with real products?

Quantum?

Wait, what?

Does IBM finally have some product it can sell?

No, it can make promises about something it claims can happen in 5 years (when nobody remembers such promises anymore).

"It's all because of Arvind's lies about quantum," somebody said some hours ago about Wall Street. "He should be arrested for this pump and dump scheme. I really wish Polymarket would start taking bets on whether IBM will actually be selling a quantum computer by 2030 like Arvind says. I'd bet my entire life savings on "no" and come 2030 I'd be richer than Arvind."

IBM CEO on the Future of the Tech Industry

Just quantum quantum quantum quantum quantum!

And "the stock is skyrocketing while rest of market is crumbling due to the war," someone commented. "That’s all you really need to know that this an artificial bump. But use it max out get your money! But make no mistake this is fake and will correct and crash..."

Like before.

As the latest comment puts it, IBM "has another 2-3 quarters of milking Quantum buzz before market wises up to it."

Thankfully those comments have not been deleted (yet).

The censorship of pages in thelayoff.com continues, as people notice more and more examples (sometimes they censor people who speak about the censorship):

There was a post about ICE trucks spotted congregating in the new parking garage on the Albany site last week that is mysteriously gone now too. Strange

It seems like censorship and even arrests in the name of "tolerance" are becoming more of a thing; if only IBM can frame every single criticism of its CEO as "racist" the company will become better protected (from "heresy") than the Prophet Mohammad in a devout Muslim country.
