E.E.E. Still Ongoing, the War on Copyleft/GPL Enables That
Copyrighted "Microsoft Corp."

So Microsoft uses assimilation tactics against GNU/Linux. It's not a new problem. Consider SANS Internet Storm Center's "Microsoft's Coreutils for Windows" (anti-GNU/Linux E.E.E.) and some of the recent openwashing of the Linux Foundation. The media seems to have missed the point that Microsoft paid for it.
At the same time the Linux Foundation is working to undermine the GPL, the licence of Linux. Why? Just check who's funding the Linux Foundation and consider that the above E.E.E. is boosted by this attack on the GPL. It also imperils security.
Consider Tom's Hardware's "Gaming soundbar can be hijacked from over 16 yards away without touch or pairing — the company allegedly refuses to label the blatant security flaw a cybersecurity risk".
In this case, "stolen Linux [was] made insecure by ignoring the licence," an associate has noted. Companies try to hide what they are doing and make Linux proprietary. The Linux Foundation couldn't care any less. It's worse than not caring; it participates in GPL violations. █
