Estimates of Scale of Microsoft Layoffs, Will Likely Happen "in Batches"
Microsoft's CEO Satya Nadella has openly admitted that XBox loses money and layoffs notices are allegedly being sent out already (even ahead of July). Estimates of the scale of the mass layoffs are quite unprecedented. If in gaming alone 3,000+ are to be sent packing, then how many company-wide? A new all-time high (14,000 seems to be the all-time record, dated 2014)?
In attempting to gain insight we had a poke at Blind and saw an unscientific poll:
That isn't facts though. Weeks ago we saw claims of 15%, now an insider says: "Heard 10 to 15 percent eventually but idk date."
"It will likely happen in batches," s/he said. If true, we may be looking at tens of thousands impacted.
"My friend's friend told me it 15%. Not sure if it s correct. That’s what i heard not lying," another person wrote. "That would be almost 40k?" one person replied. █
