With NDAs and "Voluntary Retirement Program (VRP)" and all sorts of other newspeak we are left to absorb carefully worded (or scripted) messages in social control media. They don't tell us the true story, they're meant to protect some payments (because it's costly to say the truth).
Over time people will find out just how many people "leave" IBM and are "leaving" Microsoft this month. Apparently even severance (proper as in what one is eligible to get) is too much for ask for short of collective bargaining or class action. █
