GNU/Linux Up to New High in Libya, Windows Down to All-Time Low
Libya is a very large country and it still has a lot of natural resources, mostly oil. "It depends primarily on revenues from the petroleum sector," Wikipedia says, "which represents over 95% of export earnings and 60% of GDP."
"Oil reserves in Libya are the largest in Africa, and among the ten largest oil reserves globally," says another Wikipedia page.
This country is not so poor, it is badly managed, and with a very large population it seems worth noting that GNU/Linux touches 5% there, based on statCounter. █
