A Break From the Routine
The July heatwave is almost upon us and England has growing hopes of winning the World Cup for the first time in nearly a lifetime, as contestants in the quarters aren't "top dogs" (Norway) and Argentina's performance has not been spectacular.
A repeat of 40 years ago? [1, 2]
We won't be publishing much in the next couple of days, but we still have seven different series underway (one of them is in the sister site) and they'll resume when we return. Our infrequent holiday-taking is owing to devotion and sense of fulfillment, as we still exercise the liberty to publish material about Free software, patent law, and all sorts of other things. Unhindered, we can publish about 20,000 pages per year (here and in the sister site combined). What matters is what whistleblowers keep feeding information to us.
