Heshan de Silva-Weeramuni Becomes Program Manager at the Free Software Foundation (FSF)
Some months ago I began receiving E-mail messages from the Free Software Foundation (FSF). Those came from Heshan, who I had not heard from (or about) before. He sent me 4 invitations to a LibreLocal event in London. Having just checked their roster, it seems like some time after March he formally joined as FSF's staff.
My wife asked me why I was not going to the event I had been invited to. Aside from the fact London is far (and expensive to travel to) I came to associate London with the death threats I receive and similar threats that my wife receives. Maybe one day I will no longer associate London with hired guns who project aplenty. Imagine being described as "obsessed" with someone who stalks you 24/7 for years or sends you over 100KG of legal papers (to merely point that out is an "obsession", apparently).
Anyway, Heshan's addition means that the FSF is growing after a solid financial year (best in years). █
