I'll Be Extremely Difficult for Microsoft to Sell Any XBox Consoles Now

Can't Microsoft just ban the fans like it did when they said "microslop" a few months ago?

Microsoft was already struggling to sell XBox units. Months were spent showering the media with pure (100%) vapourware or some fictional "XBox" future. Microsoft even tried to redefine what the term meant.
Right now it would be deeply misguided to buy an XBox, seeing that some models of it are discontinued and sales allegedly stop in some countries. Last year some large retailers stopped stocking it.
Today we see reports about very angry XBox "fans" [1, 2] lashing out at Microsoft.
At this point there is likely no return or "comeback" anymore. There's no confidence in the future of XBox, so why would anybody buy one?
Microsoft understands this.
Two years ago we began seeing headlines that claimed XBox was doomed or dead or dying. Those were called "clickbait" back then, but they have aged well. █
