Modern Technology Harms Women More Than Men (Because the 'Tech Bros' Who Dominate STEM Have a Poor View of Women)
Bruce Schneier on Eric Schmidt (GAFAM):
“Privacy protects us from abuses by those in power, even if we're doing nothing wrong at the time of surveillance.”

My wife has received a lot of abuse online and she is not alone. She received abuse from complete strangers that she neither met nor ever spoke to. In today's social control media platforms the "terms of service" or "community guidelines" or whatever euphemism the largest culprits adopt there is no recognition that women are more vulnerable or susceptible to abuse. It's not because men are more insensitive to abuse, it's because men behave differently towards women (perceived gender roles).
In more recent years the mainstream media - which begrudgingly (if not foolishly) adopts social control media in pursuit of clicks and clickbait - caught up with this issue. We are seeing growing exposure in mass broadcast to the fact many young people - women in particular - commit suicide due to social control media (or social control media greatly exacerbates issues and magnifies causes for contemplation of suicide).
We've rejected social control media for 20 years. Over time we feel increasingly vindicated, seeing that the narrative in the media is grimmer about social control media. The media has similarly soured on slop (LLM-based chatbots), except when the media gets paid for "happy stories" (promotional spam) about slop.
We have long spoken about scarcity of women in STEM, which is where those issues stem from. All the large social control media platforms are chiefly run by men and there's no femme public face for any of the LLM-based chatbots. Ever wondered why?
The "bros" who promote those addictive and generally harmful "technologies" (digital drugs) have an utterly poor view of women. In a healthy society we would collective shun them and their "drugs" like we shun or arrest men who spike women's drink (date-raping). █
