Words are way too easy to take out of context. GAFAM workers can use the f-word all they want, even in public, and their bosses may even have many mistresses they abuse [1, 2], flaunt polygamy, infidelity, sexual misconduct (rewarded with massive departure gift, not arrest).
Torvalds is "protected class" not because he is "cool" but because of the people he is serving and the people he is attacking (he regularly attacks people who advocate software freedom and now he attacks people who oppose plagiarism of code, laundered as "training"). █
