An Hour Ahead of Alleged 'Results' (Amid Investigation Into Fraud) IBM Falls Back to New Lows
Only 31 cents away from a 52-week low:

As someone has just put it, "RAs coming. . ." (citing a puff piece mentioned earlier today, composed by a "pump and dump" enabler)
RAs (layoffs) are coming, not just the "forever layoffs" and "silent layoffs" (PIPs) that we keep hearing about and someone has just spoken about. Basically 15% of the workforce at IBM is already marked for dismissal (if the managers choose to trigger "low performer" pretexts and their sneaky variants).

Some people wonder if the CEO will even show up to show his face this evening; remember that the CFO already admitted layoffs for 2026.

So there are two main questions, aside from the CEO's attendance; 1) will IBM be found in breach of accounting laws? 2) how many people will be laid off and how quickly?
Of course this impacts Red Hat and, by extension, GNU/Linux. Red Hat's blog has become a laughing stock. It was 100% buzzwords yesterday. █
