  • Apples

    We went to visit a friend who has an apple tree in her garden and collected two bags full of apples. A lot of rotten ones, with worms and what not. Peeling them and cutting off the good parts took a very long time. We stopped after a while and watched an episode of Silo, then we went back to doing apples.

    If you want a pretty spectacular train ride that is not too far from Zürich you could go to Chur and from there up to Arosa. The train slowly climbs up a narrow valley – along the valley side.

  • A Tired Tuesday

    First blog post on here! Hopefully the first of many

    A rather lazy day today. Spent a lot of time with my neighbor and didn't have much to do at work. I'm in the part of any relationship where I'm excited about the new friend, hanging out together, and getting to learn a lot about someone in a short time, and just reveling in that while it lasts. I'd helped her move in a few weeks ago now, we'd found each other on a dating app, some chatting on that later and we became fast friends.

    She's looking to get into more videogames, and taking the chance to shamelessly shill things I enjoy, I recommended Warframe to her for an MMO and In Stars and Time for a singleplayer RPG. The former is one of the only MMOs I've enjoyed (even if it's really more a shooter with a large playerbase) and I thought she'd like the narrative and characters in the latter. Here's hoping either one or both reccommendations pan out for her.

    • smol.pub now on Constellation Browser

      I am excited to see that the smol.pub directory is now available on the Panic Playdate application Constellation Browser. This program joins the Gemini/Gopher reader space alongside Hopper, a similar application built for the small yellow handheld with a crank. What separates Constellation Browser is its unique collection of sites using its Particle format, a simple JSON-based system that offers animated image rendering and text styling.
