Codes of Conduct Attract Hoarders and Sociopaths, They Are Intolerant Towards Good People
Codes of Conduct (CoCs) are also promoted using violence, as in practice they're an instrument of oppression
People who share are universally better than people who do not share and the only thing worse than folks who refuse to share is those who hoard. Some of us know them as "billionaires", but they pay the media to call them "philanthropists" and never criticise them because they don't pay their share, they avoid taxation by pretending to be generous. Don't be a "billionaire"; the only way to become that way ("billionaire" or "trillionaire") is to steal, exploit, and/or cheat, i.e. grow at someone else's expense. Then they censor critics, as it is "bad conduct" or "jealousy" to not condone a "philanthropist".
Today we purchased the best sack of seeds available; it is for the birds, not for us. We also feed random (unknown to us) birds in the streets. Rianne carries the jars, I clap my hands once or twice for the birds' attention (to notice the seeds spilled). In relative terms, the sack of very expensive for us. We are not "philanthropists", we are normal human beings. We don't buy the media.
People who work in Free software communities and are worthy members don't do it for the money or for personal gain; they don't call themselves "philanthropist", they share with others and see a communal, collective gain. If they have something they can share, they will share. In relative terms, they give a lot.
A reasonable CoC would shun hoarders. In practice, from what we've seen, CoCs tend to be weaponised and enforced by hoarders because they also hoard positions of power (in the Linux Foundation those position are literally for sale, so the richest people buy these to censor critics). █
