Counters in Clacton Commence in 3 Hours at Clacton Leisure Centre
The super-hot day is nearly over here (we escaped outdoors) and within a few hours the election we watch will finish. We want to know the outcome. Because "Daniel Pocock is an independent candidate" in it.
"After polling booths close at 10pm on Thursday, August 13, the vote count will begin," says Scottish press. "Counters in Clacton will be using bigger table areas to allow the long ballot papers to be verified at Clacton Leisure Centre. The first ballot boxes are expected to arrive around 10 minutes after polls close, but with the constituency consisting of seaside towns and rural villages the last boxes should arrive by 10.30pm."
Even a few hundreds of votes for Pocock would be considered a great success. █
